Garden Annex

A stylish garden annex and porch designed and built under permitted development rights.

Timber-clad garden annex with sliding glass doors in afternoon sun

About the project

A permitted development project: a garden annex and porch that add practical space to the property without a full planning application.

You submit drawings for the council to consider and can usually expect the certificate within 8–10 weeks. You will need drawings of the existing building, showing the property before work starts; drawings of the proposed building, showing it with the new addition; and a site plan and location plan, so the council can find the property and check which rules apply.
