S–08Furniture & Joinery Design

Bespoke furniture and joinery design

What this service is

We design bespoke furniture and joinery when off-the-shelf pieces will not fit the space or the concept: built-in storage, wall panelling, banquettes, reception desks and loose furniture. Every piece is detailed in technical drawings for the maker and coordinated with the rest of the interior.

Natalia worked as architect, interior designer and furniture designer at The Bath House, drawing on banya traditions for pieces that are both functional and distinctive.

For Banya No1 she designed the furniture as solo designer, and at Block restaurant she designed furniture for the main dining room.

FAQ

Furniture & Joinery Design: your questions

Why choose bespoke joinery over ready-made furniture?

Bespoke joinery fits the space exactly, uses awkward corners and alcoves, and can hide services or storage. In period buildings and small flats it often gains far more usable space than ready-made furniture, and it is designed to match the rest of the interior.

Have you designed furniture for commercial spaces?

Yes. Natalia designed furniture for The Bath House and Banya No1 in London and for the main dining room at Block restaurant in St Petersburg, plus the reception desk drawings for a council office in Basingstoke.

Do you make the furniture yourselves?

We design and detail every piece and coordinate trusted joiners and makers to build it. You get one point of contact, and the finished furniture is checked against the drawings before installation.
