01Interior architecture

What is interior architecture?

It is the practice of sensitively and innovatively redesigning an existing interior space, while respecting its historical value.

We combine architecture and interior design: replanning layouts, moving walls and openings, securing the approvals, and detailing every finish, light and piece of furniture. The result is a space that works technically and legally — and feels like it was always meant to be that way.

04Before and after

From rubbish store to vaulted studio

A deserted wine cellar in a listed building in Montenero di Bisaccia, Italy, neglected for years and used to store rubbish. Natalia turned it into a self-contained studio. Drag the handle to compare.

All frequently asked questions

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. Your initial consultation is free. We talk through your property, brief, budget and timeline, explain which approvals you are likely to need, and suggest next steps. You can book online, call 07810 521710 or send a WhatsApp message, and there is no obligation to go further.

Do I need planning permission for an extension?

Not always. Many single-storey rear extensions to houses fall under permitted development and need no planning application. Flats and maisonettes have no permitted development rights, and listed buildings and many conservation areas face extra limits. Building regulations approval is almost always required. We check your property before any design work begins.

How much do your services cost?

There is no fixed price list because every project is different in size, condition and scope. After the free initial consultation, Natalia sets out what is included and the fee for your project, so you can decide before committing. We work to any budget and will tell you honestly what it can achieve.

Do you have your own builders?

Yes. Natalia works with a team of builders for projects of any size, from bathroom revamps to whole-house renovations, and manages them on your behalf. If you already have a contractor you trust, we can work with them instead and still coordinate drawings, budget, programme and site visits through to completion.
